Cash Vault Contest – Official Terms & Conditions
1. Sponsor
The Cash Vault Contest (the “Contest”) is administered by BC HomeShows Ltd. (the “Sponsor”). The Sponsor is responsible for the Contest and its administration. This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any third parties other than the Sponsor.


2. Eligibility
The Contest is open to residents of British Columbia, Canada, who are nineteen (19) years of age or older at the time of entry.
The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win:

  • Exhibitors, exhibitor staff, or representatives at the BC Fall Home Shows;

  • Immediate family members of exhibitors or exhibitor staff (spouse, common-law partner, parent, child, sibling, or any person residing in the same household).

  • Any customer/vendor of BC HomeShows Ltd from 2025 are not eligible to participate.

The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.


3. Contest Period
The Contest will be held in person at participating Fall Home Shows operated by BC HomeShows Ltd during the posted show dates. The Contest booth will be open from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays and from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sundays, during the posted show dates.


4. How to Enter

  • No purchase necessary.

  • To enter, visit the Contest booth at a participating Fall Home Show operated by BC HomeShows Ltd during posted hours and scan the QR code.

  • Complete one (1) official entry form by providing your first and last name, phone number, and email address.

  • Each individual is permitted only one (1) entry for the entire Contest Period, regardless of the number of participating Home Shows attended. Duplicate entries by the same individual (as determined by matching name, phone, or email address) will be void.

  • Each eligible entrant will be permitted one (1) attempt only to try to unlock the Cash Vault by entering a four-digit (4-digit) code of their choice.

Any attempt to submit multiple entries, use false information, or otherwise tamper with the Contest will result in disqualification.


5. Prize

  • One (1) prize of $10,000 CAD (the “Prize”) will be awarded to the first eligible entrant who successfully enters the correct four-digit code and opens the Cash Vault.

  • The Prize will be awarded by cheque only, payable to the confirmed winner.

  • The Prize must be claimed in person at a cheque presentation event to be scheduled by the Sponsor in Kamloops, BC.

  • The confirmed winner must attend the prize presentation, participate in official photographs, and take part in reasonable media interviews with Sponsor’s designated media partners.

  • No e-transfer or alternate delivery of the Prize will be permitted.

  • The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable, or convertible to cash other than as stated.


6. Winner Selection and Verification
The first eligible entrant who successfully unlocks the Cash Vault with the correct four-digit code during the Contest Period will be declared a potential winner, subject to verification.
To be confirmed as a winner, the potential winner must:

  • (a) have complied with these Official Terms & Conditions, including the “one entry per person” rule;

  • (b) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor after successfully unlocking the Cash Vault;

  • (c) provide valid government-issued photo identification upon request;

  • (d) sign and return a Release and Declaration of Compliance form; and

  • (e) attend the cheque presentation in Kamloops, BC, and participate in media/publicity requirements as set out in Section 5.

Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification, and the Prize will remain unawarded unless another entrant unlocks the vault.
Once a winner is confirmed, the Contest will immediately end. No further entries will be accepted, and no additional prizes will be awarded.


7. Limitation of Liability
By entering, each entrant agrees that the Sponsor, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, and agents are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:

  • Any incorrect or inaccurate entry information;

  • Technical failures of any kind;

  • Human error, including miskeyed or mistyped code entries;

  • Lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.

All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.


8. Disputes
In the event of a dispute (including, without limitation, a mistyped code by the entrant), the entry recorded by the Contest system at the time of the attempt will be deemed final. The Sponsor’s determination of the outcome is binding and not subject to review or appeal.


9. Publicity Release
By entering, entrants consent to the use of their name, photograph, image, likeness, voice, and city of residence by the Sponsor for publicity purposes in all media, without further notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
The confirmed winner agrees to participate in prize presentation photography and interviews as a condition of receiving the Prize.


10. Privacy & Commercial Electronic Messages
By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Sponsor for the purposes of administering the Contest, verifying eligibility, awarding the Prize, and as otherwise set out in the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy available at https://www.bchomeshows.com/privacy-policy
By providing an email address, entrants expressly consent to receive commercial electronic messages from the Sponsor, including newsletters, event announcements, and promotional offers. Entrants may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting office@bchomeshows.com


11. Governing Law
The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.


12. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, amend, or suspend the Contest (or to amend these Terms & Conditions) in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that interferes with the proper conduct of the Contest.
Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest in any way (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion) may be grounds for disqualification.
