Event & Office Operations Coordinator

Introduction

Location: Kamloops, BC | Full-Time

Bring events to life while keeping the office running smoothly!

At BC HomeShows Ltd., we create some of British Columbia’s most recognized consumer trade shows. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Event & Office Operations Coordinator who thrives on organization, enjoys working with people, and wants to play a key role in both the day-to-day office operations and the delivery of large-scale consumer events.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, supportive team where your work makes a real impact—and where no two days look the same. One week you’ll be preparing exhibitor schedules, the next you’ll be on-site helping a show run seamlessly. If you’re looking for variety, responsibility, and growth, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do

Event Coordination

  • Support the planning and delivery of BC’s top consumer home shows

  • Act as the go-to contact for exhibitors and vendors—answering questions, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a smooth event experience

  • Assist with exhibitor scheduling, floor planning, and onsite support during shows

  • Liaise with venues and contractors for services such as AV, registration, and signage

  • Prepare event documents, exhibitor kits, schedules, and materials

Office & Administrative Management

  • Keep the office running efficiently with strong admin processes

  • Manage invoicing and accounts receivable in QuickBooks Online

  • Handle scheduling, travel arrangements, and general communications

  • Oversee office supplies, record-keeping, and file management

  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all communications and documents

Continuous Improvement

  • Review and refine internal processes to boost efficiency in both office and event operations

  • Suggest improvements to enhance the exhibitor and attendee experience

What You Bring
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)—you’re confident interacting with exhibitors, vendors, and teammates

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability, especially under event pressure

  • Experience in event coordination, trade shows, or office management is an asset

  • Education in Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field is a plus

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team where your work directly shapes the success of our events

  • Gain hands-on experience in event coordination while building a solid foundation in office management

  • Enjoy a role with variety—from office operations to onsite event execution

  • Stable full-time position with room for growth

  • Flexible vacation package, competitive salary, and opportunities to travel to event locations

  • Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week)

  • Salary: Starting at $50,000 annually (final compensation based on experience and qualifications)

Ready to bring your organizational skills, people-first mindset, and event energy to a role where every day is different? We’d love to hear from you!
