In this role, you will play a key part in introducing businesses to the opportunity to showcase their products and services at our well-established Home Shows across British Columbia. This is more than just a sales position. It is about building relationships, creating opportunities, and contributing to the continued success of BC’s leading consumer events.

Objectives of this role
  • Make outbound calls and send emails to prospective exhibitors

  • Engage businesses, uncover their needs, and present the value of participating in a HomeShow

  • Qualify leads, manage follow-ups, and close sales over the phone and email

  • Maintain accurate records of communications and leads

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to meet and exceed targets

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers (using your skills to promote our products and services effectively)

  • Identify and qualify sales leads

  • Engage with potential customers in a professional manner, clearly articulating the features, advantages and benefits of our offerings

  • Follow up on leads and maintain regular communication with clients

  • Overcome objections, negotiating terms and securing client commitment

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions

  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide qualified leads and relevant information for an effective follow-up

  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends and competitor offerings to position our products or services in the market

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 0–1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation (we’ll provide training for the right fit)

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a clear, confident phone manner

  • Ability to engage prospects, explain the benefits of participating in a Home Show, and handle objections professionally

  • Strong listening skills and a customer-focused mindset

  • Resilience and perseverance — you’re comfortable with rejection and stay motivated in a target-driven role

  • Solid organizational skills to manage leads, follow-ups, and notes efficiently

  • Basic computer literacy; familiarity with email, and spreadsheets

  • Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude in all interactions

  • Fluent in spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently

Complementary Skills & Capabilities
  • Previous sales or phone-based experience

  • Familiarity with the Home Show or event related industry

  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales techniques and relationship-building strategies

  • Ability to adapt to changing sales approaches and market needs

  • Strong time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

Job Type
  • Full-Time

  • Monday - Friday 

  • 37.5 hours a week

Salary
  • $22 - $25/hr based on a combination of skills and experience
